Gâv / گاو - Astigarreta koop.

The legend of Gâv-zamin, “cow-earth,” depicts the Earth resting on the back of a cow or ox, standing on a fish. Gâv is the Persian word, without gender distinction, for cow or ox; in its etymological sense, it is derived from geo– in Ancient Greek. Other derivations include Gea and Gaia, in which gê or gâ mean “earth” or “land.”
